Janet Greer Sammons

I am inspired by the majesty of the mountains, sky, waterways, trees, birds and creatures of earth, all of which are God�s handiwork. I hope I can convey this spiritual reverence in the joyful colors and form I use to express my love of nature, and in so doing bring a smile or similar joy to those who view my paintings. I prefer to paint in a representational or realist style, but occasionally experiment in a more semi-abstract vein. For the most part, my medium of choice is acrylics for the bold and vivid colors I can achieve, but also because they are very forgiving. Plus they are quick-drying and water-based for easy clean-up.
